Gianni Rodari and Bruno Munari together in music at the Braidense National Library

A concert for children inspired by Rodari’s works and Munari’s illustrations

On Saturday November 28th, the Braidense National Library together with Archivio Storico Ricordi will celebrate Gianni Rodari’s birth centenary by hosting the world premiere of two songs for kids inspired by his works but written by the Russian composers Andrei Petrov and Vladimir Tsytovich. The performance realised by Brera/Musica and under the direction of Clive Britton will be available to stream on the Brera Plus website at both 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Along with the concert, Archivio Storico Ricordi will showcase the Dischi Ricordi covers designed by Bruno Munari, the author behind Rodari’s works’ illustrations published by Einaudi. As a final surprise for the kids attending the performance, the songwriter Virgilio Savona will be singing a version of Rodari’s Filastrocche, after which the children will be asked to create their own illustrated cover.
