The Archive at Archivissima 2018

From 6th to 8th June Torino hosts Archivissima, the first festival completely dedicated to the world of the archives. Born as evolution of the La notte degli Archivi, Archivissima involves more then one hundred authorities and historical companies in three days of meetings, experiences and contaminations to discover, describe and examine the collections and the histories of heritages. Archivio Storico Ricordi contributes to the festival with its knowledge, tasks and contents in three meetings on Wednesday 6th June. In the panel La valorizzazione economica degli archivi Pierluigi Ledda moderates the meeting with the historical archives of big companies of the Italian brand like Archivio Versace (Antonio Masciariello), Fondazione Arnoldo e Alberto Mondadori (Luisa Finocchi) and Galleria Campari (Paolo Cavallo). The preview of Opere, the first platform conceived to catalogue, publish and increase the value of the heritage of theatrical and music institutions, realized by Archiui in collaboration with Archivio Storico Ricordi. On the occasion, important institutions in the field examine details and prospectives of the archives in the live performances, like Centro Studi del Teatro Stabile di Torino (Anna Peyron), Fondazione Isabella Scelsi e Istituto Nazionale di Studi Verdiani (Alessandra Carlotta Pellegrini), Istituto per i Beni Marionettistici e il Teatro Popolare (Alfonso Cipolla), Istituto per i Beni Musicali in Piemonte (Claudio Simone Brosio), Università di Torino (Antonio Pizzo) and Teatro Regio di Torino (Simone Solinas). Finally the workshop La professione del “Conservation Scientist” per gli archivi sonori, curated by Archivio Storico Ricordi (Pierluigi Ledda) and Laboratorio di informatica musicale (Università di Milano), includes a practical part about editing and audio digital restoration beyond the listening of a sound product at Mediateca Rai di Torino. Free entrance until until all available seats are taken, before registration on the Archivissima website.
